Biography
Yang Longhai (b.1978, Guiyang, China) graduated from the Guizhou Institute of the Arts in 2000.
In 2006 he founded the Chinese Contemporary Art Files Project (CCAFP).
He is a technical and design consultant at Island6 in Shanghai and with whom he usually exhibits, often participating in collaborative projects, including in "Remote/Control", an interactive multimedia art exhibition held at MOCA Shanghai, and in the french visual art festival "Nuit Blanche" for its first Chinese edition. He works in a wide variety of mediums, including eletronic, film, painting and printing.

Under western eyes
13 November 2007I recently bought a photo-litho print by Yang Longhai. It is a portrait of Mao taken from the Chinese 100RMB note which is a dark pink colour. Mao's portrait appears on all denominations of Ren Min Bi notes, the "people"s currency".
